Opening Fanfare and Fireworks

VIP Guest greeted by a Fanfare made up from the State Trumpeters of the Household Cavalry and the Fanfare Trumpeters from The Guards Bands.


Musical Drive of The Kings Troop, Royal Horse Artillery


Each of the 1.5 tonne World War 1 guns is pulled by six horses at the gallop, in complicated manoeuvres that will have the audience onthe edge of their seats. Watch out for the firing of the guns and the thunderous gallop out.


Malaysian Band

The Malaysian Ceremonial Band will be in the UK performing public duties at Buckingham Palace.The Tattoo will host the Band and their Dancers on all three nights


Firefight

Soldiers, recently returned from current operations, will demonstrate the Army’s expertise in specially staged action scenes using the latest equipment, pyrotechnics and armoured vehicles (both tracked and wheeled).


Royal Windsor Horse Show Montage

The Tattoo is proud to occupy the venue of The Royal Windsor Horse Show, a show which was created in 1942 to raise money to build Spitfiresin ‘Wings for Victory Week". Some of the Military equine elements that have been included in the show since its inception, mixed with other displays fromthe show, will give this Tattoo a unique flavour.


Massed Pipes and Drums

A Tattoo would not be the same without the swirl of the Pipes and Drums and The Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo is proud to welcome Pipes and Drums from across the British Army.


Musical Ride of The Household Cavalry

A breathtaking display of equitation to music by The Household Cavalry demonstrates their riding expertise and professionalism


Kuban Cossack Dancers

The Russians are coming with a colourful display of authentic Cossack Dancing. They will fill the Arena with their energy, pace and sense of fun in a fast moving and intricate Cossack Dance.


Massed Bands

The world famous scarlet and gold uniforms from the Household Division will provide the musical centrepiece of the Tattoo. The combined Bands of The Life Guards, Scots Guards and Welsh Guards will demonstrate the musical strength of the British Army.


Grand Finale

The Grand Finale will give the audience an opportunity to welcome returning soldiers from current operations and to reflect on those who have fallen and been injured whilst on active service.



The entire cast, Massed Bands, Pipes and Drums will form up with Windsor Castle as a fitting backdrop. There will be a rousing end to the Tattoo with projections and fireworks, giving the audience an opportunity to join in and to show gratitude and appreciation.
